Piers Corbyn Running For Mayor Of London

Another candidate for Mayor of London has emerged, and it is one that will bring back memories of the 2019 General Election.

A member of the Corbyn family has announced his intention to run for the position, which is up for grabs this year following a delay to the election date due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Piers Corbyn, brother of Jeremy Corbyn, the former leader of the Labour Party, has announced that he will be running for Mayor.

Piers Corbyn has garnered a name for himself in recent times due to his stance criticising the Government’s coronavirus legislation. He has organised multiple rallies to this effect and been fined multiple times for his troubles.

Corbyn’s policy platform is very much influenced by his opinions on the handling of the coronavirus pandemic by the Government.

He announced his candidacy on New Year’s Eve via his Twitter account and YouTube.

In Corbyn’s big candidacy reveal, he pledges to end the “Covid con” rules, as he believes the coronavirus pandemic is a hoax. He also is planning to end the discrimination against those who refuse to wear a mask and who are opposed to taking the vaccine. Defending freedom of speech and the right to assemble are also among his plans.

Other polices bear a resemblance to those of his brother, Jeremy Corbyn. Piers says he would provide houses for all citizens. In addition, he would institute a new and more accountable NHS, which would put the wellbeing of citizens before the profits of big pharma. He would aim to introduce intelligent transport and environmental policies in his agenda.

He also pledges to support Julian Assange.

The election for Mayor of London will take place in May.
