Sir Keir Starmer, the leader of the Labour Party, has been booted out of The Raven pub in Bath by its angry landlord, who demanded Starmer ”get out of his pub”.
The Raven pub’s owner, Rod Humphris, was filmed being restrained by Sir Keir’s bodyguard as Starmer asks him to “calm down”, before swiftly exiting the pub. It is not clear at this time whether Starmer’s bodyguard acted legally, or whether Starmer had trespassed in The Raven pub.
When questioned about his actions, Rod Humphris told The Telegraph:
“I think he has utterly failed us as the leader of the Opposition. He has completely failed to ask the questions that needed asking, like why did we throw away our previous pandemic preparedness?”
The event occurs in the background of the local elections, which will be taking place on the May 6th.
