President Trump has come top of a US poll for the most admired man of 2020.
The annual poll, conducted by Gallup, showed that President Trump won 18 percent of the vote for the most admired man of 2020. Former President Barack Obama had held pole position in the poll for the past twelve years, tying with President Trump in last year’s round.

Vice President Joe Biden won the second place prize, with a total of 6 percent, followed by Dr. Anthony Fauci, one of the lead members of the Trump administration’s White House Coronavirus Task Force addressing the pandemic, at 3 percent.
Other men who made the top ten included Pope Francis, Tesla founder Elon Musk, Senator Bernie Sanders, Bill Gates, NBA star LeBron James and the Dalai Lama.
Dr Fauci, who was at the receiving end of Trump’s ire towards the end of the presidential campaign, was admired by five percent of Democrats, but only one percent of Republicans.
Michelle Obama won the poll for most admired woman, with 10 percent of the vote. Kamala Harris came second in that poll, with six percent of the vote.

The First Lady, Melania Trump, followed Michelle Obama and Kamala Harris, with a 4 percent total. Oprah Winfrey, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Queen Elizabeth II all made the top ten.
Also making the top ten were newly appointed US Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett and young environmental activist Greta Thunberg.
